SCANZANO JONICO - Terra wonderful but bitter "

di PIERANTONIO LUTRELLI

SCANZANO JONICO – Due sacerdoti in prima linea, don Luigi Ciotti e don Marcello Cozzi, rispettivamente presidenti nazionale e regionale dell’associazione “Libera” contro le mafie. Con loro un sindaco, Salvatore Iacobellis del Partito democratico. Il sindaco di Scanzano Ionic. All three, along with activist association Chicca D'Alessandro, were at the center last night for a meeting-debate "Free the conscience" held in the Sports Hall. The event was part of the "100 steps to 21 March, the calendar of events and meetings that prepare the population to 19 March Lucan, on which, in Potenza, XVI will celebrate the National Day of Memory and commitment in memory the victims of the Mafia. "A Scanzano - debuted Don Marcello - we have an administration that has supported us. Ours is a call for truth and justice for what happened in metapontino. We must not forget the innocent victims: Luke and Marirosa, Mario Million, Vincenzo De Mare. We are waiting to see what has happened. And then we want to know, but the electoral fraud six years ago, there were or were not there? There is a waiting area - he continued - to which we must fulfill. " The mayor Iacobellis? We ask. "As an administrator - he said - was marked by battles over the legality. With him, we were able to recall De Mare for two consecutive summers. In a difficult moment for this country (because of some attacks, ed), was made available. We need administrators and associations which make their voices heard. A lot - he concluded - there are as yet unclear. " On national issues, of course, Don Luigi. "I have met here in Scanzano - told the newspaper - some farmers who are fighting for the dignity of their work. I've been in Melfi and Power. I am here to listen, to see first-hand the concerns and feelings of the people. Basilicata is a wonderful land, but bitter. There is much migration. As in all regions, then, again tries to join the Mafia. We are here - continued Don Luis - to give a sign of closeness to the families of victims of criminal violence, with people seeking the truth. We are here with this attention. This respect. On 19 March, Power will a national demonstration. The 21 with the hope that spring is in every sense, in all locations in Italy will be read the names of the victims. But it is also important date of March 7. That day in 1996 went into effect the law, wanted by Free who collected one million signatures, which confiscated the assets of the mafia. Now we are collecting an additional one million signatures against corruption. Italy did not put it in the Penal Code the European Directive in Strasbourg in 1999 which talks about corruption. We ask - said the national president of Freedom - even the confiscation of assets for the corrupt use of the same social. Ours is a "scratch" the reality.
